Our Partners
Community building is a grand affair that involves many people and organizations. We at the Jewish Deaf Foundation are grateful for the support from Jewish organizations who believe in the power of the Jewish deaf individual.
Below, we list the organizations with whom we have collaborated and continue to collaborate, in alphabetical order:
– American Friends of Lubavitch (Chabad). The Jewish Deaf Foundation’s activities at Gallaudet University are generously sponsored by this organization, based in Washington, D.C. The student leadership at the Chabad Student Club works closely with us and American Friends of Lubavitch (Chabad) to provide quality Jewish programming on campus that brings together the Jewish Deaf community.
– Chabad Lubavitch of Rochester, NY. From the very beginning, we have been involved with Jewish Deaf life in Rochester, and the local Chabad has always been a partner. From Shabbatonim and holiday celebrations to visits on RIT campus and educational workshops, Chabad Lubavitch of Rochester has been there to help all the way.
– Federation of Jewish Communities of the CIS. An organization that has done incredible things in Russia in the approximately twenty five years since the end of the oppressive Communist era, the FJCC is committed to promoting Jewish pride and identity among every single Jew, including the deaf Jew. Our first project together was a summer camp program for Jewish deaf boys, and ever since we have continued to partner on many more pioneering projects.
